  • Where can I find a room or an apartment for my stay in Graz?

  • Do I need a health care insurance?

Students from EU/EEA-countries who are insured, need to bring the European Health Insurance Card with them, which can be obtained from their insurance company in their home country. You have to take the European Health Insurance Card with you when you consult a doctor.

Students from NON-EU/EEA-countries have to register for the Austrian health insurance (at "Gebietskrankenkasse" - GKK). For regular students this is offered for currently € 23.26 per month also including eye and dental coverage and medication (excluding medical evacuation and repatriation – you would have to get that extra with a travel insurance, for example).

For more information please check this information page provided by the international office of the Karl-Franzens University.
